Zero Dark Thirty is about the hunt and assassination of Osama bin Laden. An elite team of intelligence and military operatives have been working for almost a decade across the globe to eliminate Osama bin laden. They have devoted themselves to a single goal: to find and eliminate Osama bin Laden.
Two years after the 9/11 a young CIA analyst Maya has arrived at a government site where fellow CIA agent Dan and his team are interrogating Ammar a suspected terrorist who is believed to have ties to Osama bin Laden. The tactics they used to interrogate Ammar includes torture. They eventually obtained the name of a new lead, Abu Ahmed al-Kuwaiti.
Maya continued on her quest to track down bin Laden as the years pass with terrorist attacks occurring around the world. She worked alongside other agents, Jessica and Jack. She must contend with Joseph her immediate boss whose hands are sometimes tied regarding how they proceed with job. Maya tried to convince her superiors that the information she had is correct and it is the right time to strike.
The movie is very engrossing and never fails to impress. The ensemble of casts is fantastic. Jessica Chastain’s performance is worthy of an Oscar nomination.
It is very well written, it does some fictionalization of true events. The cinematography is also exceptional, the shots are very good.
Zero Dark Thirty is one of the best films concerning the US government’s relentless pursuit of Osama Bin Laden, and how a ten-year hunt that began after 9/11. This is definitely one of the best films of 2012.
