Frozen is a Disney animation and musical about Elsa, the Snow Queen and her sister Princess Anna. When a prophecy traps their kingdom Arendelle in eternal winter, the fearless and optimist Ana teams up with extreme mountain man Kristoff and his sidekick reindeer Sven on an epic journey to find her sister Queen Ana and put an end to her icy spell. Encountering mystical trolls, a funny snowman named Olaf, mount Everest-like extremes and magic at every turn, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom from destruction.
When Anna and Elsa were young girls they were inseparable friends and joyously played a lot. But Elsa’s power to turn anything to ice and snow comes back to haunt her when she accidentally zaps her sister. Elsa inadvertently unleashes her power in moments of heightened emotion. A troll king heals Anna but healing her entails erasing the event from her memory.
Elsa tried to hide her powers from the public by staying away and becoming a reclose: never had any relationship with Anna. Elsa finally came out of hiding when she ascended the throne.
Like most of Disney’s other musical animation movies, Frozen has great story and with amazing and memorable songs. The animation is great with great sceneries although most scenes are not as colorful due to the snow and ice theme of the movie. Frozen is definitely a classic Disney animation at its best.
Kristen Bell voiced Anna, Idina Menzel as Queen Elsa, Jonathan Groff as Kristoff, Santino Fontana as Hans and Josh Gad as Olaf the snowman.
