San Andreas 1San Andreas is a disaster movie where the San Andreas Fault in California unleashes a massive quake as predicted by a scientist from Caltech that is felt from Los Angeles to San Francisco destroying both cities. If you want to see a movie and witness the destruction of both cities, San Andreas delivers the goods.

There are no surprises in this movie. The movie is by the book disaster movie and follows the usual epic-disaster formula. It is full of cliché characters and situations. A first responder helicopter pilot on the brink of losing his San Andreas 2wife thru divorce saves both his wife and daughter during the massive quake making the family stick together and saving the marriage.

San Andreas provides campy entertainment but not campy enough by providing great visuals of destruction of Los Angeles and San Francisco; skyscrapers in downtown LA getting destroyed, San Francisco being swamped by a huge tidal wave as a result of the quake.

San Andreas 3

This is not an Oscar material; it is mindless but good enough to entertain you for two hours. This is your typical epic disaster movie with large scale destruction and solid effects. As a disaster movie, San Andreas is everything you would want it to be.

San Andreas 4

It stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as Chief Ray Gaines, Carla Gugino as Emma Gaines, Paul Giamatti as Lawrence and Alexandra Daddario as Blake Gaines. Directed by Brad Peyton.

Just another disaster movie, nothing new. Except for the great production design nothing much in this movie.

  2. B Roberts says:

The special effects were creative and spectacular but other than the special effects there’s not much in this movie. The visuals on the catasthropic earthquake helped compensate for the shallow script which is so full of cliches.

  3. Tikitiki says:

Ridiculous and so predictable like most disaster movies but an acceptable popcorn movie thanks to an amiable cast and good visuals. The cliches are okey but they are so obvious. Despite these flaws it is a watchable movie.

  4. Melissa O. says:

Totally predictable, so much cliche and nothing new however it is somehow watchable.

Dwayne Johnson is trying to become the next Arnold Schwarzenegger, buff with so much muscles and he is becoming an action star is franchised movies he is becoming an action star and sensation.

  5. Tarantula says:

It wasn’t a bad disaster movie, even better than most disaster movies but that’s not setting the bar very high. Some of the dialog is extremely cheese and something you would expect in movies hat’s so full of cliches.

  6. Dave says:

I like The Rock but this one is a stinker so cheesy. So many unrealistic things from the story to the visuals so many cliche your typical disaster movie.

  7. Paula201 says:

San Andreas is not terrible, and it is rather much a mindless action movie where you can go in to, and just relax and be entertained. Great visuals of the disaster with the tall buildings in DTLA crumbling to the ground.

  8. R Osmond says:

Good movie to see in a second rate theater or maybe Netflix. A B movie that should not be taken seriously.

  9. David L says:

There is nothing new that we have not seen, so full of clichés. Everything is almost unrealistic and soooo cheesy. Only good thing are the visuals.
