James Bond 1Spectre is the latest sequel of the James Bond franchise. A cryptic message from the past sends James Bond on a trail to uncover a sinister organization; the organization responsible for the death of people close to Bond including the former M. James Bond uncovers the layers of deceit to reveal the truth behind Spectre while M fends off political forces to keep the secret service alive.

Spectre is the typical James Bond movie from how it is made with great visuals, production design and music. The movie opens with a scene in Mexico City during the Day James Bond 2of the Dead celebration; great action scenes and production design and after this comes the opening credits with the theme song which is very James Bond movie. After this the movie went downhill.

There is really nothing new to this latest of the franchise. If you have seen the other movies of the franchise you have seen this latest with its stylish production design, action scenes, a group of villains headed by a super villain and beautiful Bond women in supporting roles. This is your standard Bond movie.

James Bond 3You may like this if you are a diehard James Bond fan, not if you are a movie aficionado. It is the same and predictable as the previous movies of the franchise.

It stars Daniel Craig as James Bond, Ben Whishaw as Q, Ralph Feinnes as M, Christoph Waltz (as usual the villain) as Franz Overhauser, Judi Dench on a cameo role as the former M, and Lea Seydoux as Madeleine Swann; directed by Sam Mendez and co-written by Ian Fleming.

  1. Are they not tired of remaking James Bond movies? It is so tiring and the franchise is very tired.

A bit slow for a Bond movie.

A little bit slow for me except for the opening scene but that’s it went down hill.

The initial scene is great but that’s about it.

Except for the initial scene, there is nothing mush to see.

  7. jeronimo11 says:

The same plot as the previous James Bond movies, this is getting repetitive there is nothing new.

  9. Malditasha says:

For me this is much better than Skyfall, don’t see how critics didn’t like it. Not as bad as most critics claim. I love the movie, highly recommended.

It’s a fun movie if you’re a fan of James Bond shoots some bad guys, but there’s not much underneath it. It is your typical Bond movie and there is nothing new.

  11. It is somewhat good Bond movie although 2 plus hours is way too long and slow.

  12. Katy M says:

While the direction, production design, cinematography and editing are brilliant, the substance of the story and plot is not worth it. The plot seems to be the same as the previous one. I agree, if you have seen the previous Bond movies, you have seen this one.

  13. Bobby Lerner says:

The opening sequences in Mexico City is very exciting and enjoyed the music. After the initial scene though it seem to be the same and predictable and went down south.

  14. kathyb9 says:

Shallow story line that lacks the characters to attract a new audience; the same plot as the previous Bond movies. After the initial scene, the movie went down and it somewhat very slow in pacing too compared to the previous Bond movies. Daniel Craig’s last Bond role is such a disappointment.

  15. senoritajuana says:

Todas las películas de James Bond son todos iguales; misma parcela y la historia.
