Hunger Games 1The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 is the second half to the final Hunger Games book written by Suzanne Collins where Katniss and her group continue to overthrow the Capitol.

Mockingjay – Part 2 like the rest of the series looks spectacular with awesome costumes and acting from the main characters on point. Being the final movie of the series, the plot Hunger Games 2is predictable; you already know what would happen to the Capitol and the president. At two hours and sixteen minutes, the pacing is slow and the movie is very long and drags on some parts.

Overall, the final movie is solid but compared to the first two movies of the series, it ends with a whimper instead of a bang. It is a satisfying conclusion to a series where the best is Catching Fire which is a visually stunning movie with great plot, great acting and awesome production design.

Hunger Games 3

It stars Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen, Julianne Moore as President Alma Coin, Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark, Elizabeth Banks as Effie Trinket, Philip Seymour Hoffman as Plutarch and Donald Sutherland as President Snow.

This last one is a bit slow and mellow dramatic, not my favorite among the Hunger Games series.

Wasn’t the best in the series, too melodramatic and some parts are slow.

    The movie is very slow.

The movie unfortunately suffers from predictable plot twists and a drawn out ending. Despite this, solid performances and some thrilling action sequences still make the film enjoyable entertainment and a solid end to the franchise.

Despite being so faithful to its source material (which brings the storytelling flaws to the big screen), Part 2 delivers and entertains a good finale to the series.

While this movie was certainly entertaining, it pales in comparison with the book. It was good enough to conclude my beloved trilogy but maybe it could have been better.

Ending with a whimper instead of a bang, The movie proves that some finales don’t need to be split into two parts. The tone is bleak and dire, there’s only one intriguing action sequence, and the movie is not very subtle with its war themes. This final installment was action-packed handled the more sensitive moments well.

  13. Katy M says:

The action elements of the film were exciting and there was plenty of emotional grit to sustain you. However parts of the end of the film felt underwhelming and I did get lost in all the action at times. A bit slow on some parts of the movie.

This one is not the best among the series, way too slow it drags in a few spots.

Good ending for the series. The third installment is the best of them all.
